World of Mars #2: Thoats and Apes!
I'll cut to the chase-Marvel has released the cover for the second issue of their movie prequel series John Carter: World of Mars and as you can tell it gives us a first view of what the white apes and the Thoats of Barsoom will possibly look like in the movie. So what do you guys think?

Thoat looks more like my idea of a zitidar. I have some problems imagining something with elephant feet galloping fast. Well, elephants can go fast, but they don't really look like that when they are running, not in the way a horse or an antelope does. So I think I prefer those thoats which have more delicate feet.
