Tarzan Returns!

To the big screen anyway. According to Deadline, writer-director Craig Brewer (whose credits include Hustle and Flow and the upcoming Footloose remake) has been hired by Warner Bros to write and possibly direct a new live action Tarzan film http://www.deadline.com/2011/06/craig-brewer-makes-tarzan-deal-writing-ape-man-saga-as-trilogy/ with plans for it to be an opening chapter of a new trilogy. No word on whether it will adapt any of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels or be an original story though so we'll have to wait and see.
