'The Legend of Tarzan-Releasing the Beast'


Another post for the day! In this case the first featurette for the film has appeared online courtesy of Warner Bros..Thailand? Still we get some nifty behind the scenes footage, additional scenes and interviews with director David Yates, Alexanders Skarsgard, Margot Robbie and Samuel L. Jackson so have a look and stay tuned.

This looks really promising in so many ways. There are a few troublesome bits, like the "conflicted Tarzan who emotionally needs Jane" - that could be anything from mildly positive, he definitely does need her in the novels, but it's not as he would fall apart if he lost her. So if it's more like the novels, could be good, but if he comes off as in some ways weak with the impression that yes, he would fall apart if he lost her... ugh.

Will you be seeing it soon? It comes to my country nearly two weeks after the USA premiere so I'd appreciate a review but preferably without too many spoilers. But do let us know how close this one is to the original stories. :)

I'll be seeing it this weekend. I agree that the "conflicted Tarzan" doesn't sound to encouraging especially after the "conflicted John Carter" debacle. I'll try to post a review soon sometime this weekend.
