'Tarzan' Plot Synopsis Released

Even though Warner Bros. announced shooting had begun last week, the studio is just now releasing the official plot synopsis for David Yates' upcoming Tarzan. Courtesy of Cinema Blend http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Alexander-Skarsgard-Tarzan-Going-Totally-Different-Direction-With-Its-Plot-66251.html.

"It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash."
So let us know what you think. Will this work or should they really reboot the origin story?

Sounds like it COULD be a current story, along with an origin story, ala Godfather II.

Can't be worse than what was already done with the character. I hope for a more feral and fierce Tarzan this time, that alone would be great.
