"A Princess of Mars" Gets Referenced in "Lovecraft Country"

Red woman alert!! In this case a reference to Barsoom has popped up on the first episode of HBO's new series Lovecraft Country. According to the description from https://collider.com/lovecraft-country-episode-1-opening-scene-explained/ the show's lead character runs into a red skinned woman during a dream sequence that also references HP Lovecraft's Shoggoths and HG Wells' Martian walkers. It is also shown later in the episode the character reading A Princess of Mars. We'll have to keep our eye on to see if any further references pop up.
